Yokohama Type Rubber Fenders

Yokohama type rubber fenders have been used in port, harbor, and maritime operations for decades since it was developed in 1958. Fully complying with the ISO17357 standard, this Yokohama type rubber fender is used extensively in STS, STD berthing and mooring operations. It’s designed as a bumper to reduce shock in between due to its excellent performance of great elasticity and abrasion-resistance.

Yokohama type rubber fenders consist of three types, including sling type, hydro-pneumatic type, and chain and tire net type. Each type is available and can be customized according to customer's request. Yokohama Type Rubber Fenders Structure

① Outer rubber layer

Yokohama type rubber fenders are covered by the outer layer made of natural rubber. This rubber compound is strong enough to protect the inner layer and synthetic-cord layer from the damage of external forces and severe weather conditions due to its high elasticity and abrasion resistance.

② Synthetic-tire-cord layer

The Synthetic-tire-cord layer is made of synthetic-tire-cord fabrics, compared with synthetic canvas fabric and synthetic belt fabric, this reinforcement layer performs better in fatigue-resistance and pressure-holding.

③ Inner rubber layer

The inner layer is designed to seal the air inside the fender.

Yokohama Type Rubber Fenders Classification

According to international pneumatic rubber fenders, Yokohama type rubber fender systems are divided into two categories. From the appearance, there are two types of these fenders:

1.Initial Pressure 50 Kpa, P50 Yokohama type rubber fender

2.Initial Pressure 80 Kpa, P80 Yokohama type rubber fender

3.Type I, CTN Type, with chains and tire nets Yokohama type rubber fender

4.Type II, Sling Type, without chains and tire nets Yokohama type rubber fender
