This hydro pneumatic fender is filled with water and air inside to make it vertically installed against submerged hulls with a counterweight. It’s always regarded as a buffer to reduce shock in between due to its excellent performance of great elasticity and abrasion-resistance.

1. Easy to Install or Replace

Floating on the water makes hydro pneumatic fender easy to moored by means of guy rope or chain. When the fender is not in use, it can be transferred easily after releasing the air inside.

2. Safe and Reliable

The hydro pneumatic fender is made of several strong cord layers to enable it to be pressure-resistant and puncture-resistant. The hydro pneumatic fender whose diameter is over 2.5m is equipped with a safety valve to release the air inside in case it’s overpressured. The diagram below shows the data variations at different percentage compressions.

3. Lower Maintenance Expenses

The maintenance expenses mainly include the cost of checking air leakage and replacing the old chain net. Due to the good performance of pressure-holding, the air leakage can be checked only once a year and the chain net has a lifespan of 3 or 4 years depending on environmental conditions.

4. Tide Adaptation

① Outer rubber layer

Hydro pneumatic fenders are covered by the outer layer made of natural rubber. This rubber compound is strong enough to protect the inner layer and synthetic-cord layer from the damage of external forces and severe weather conditions due to its high elasticity and abrasion resistance.

② Synthetic-tire-cord layer

The Synthetic-tire-cord layer is made of synthetic-tire-cord fabrics, compared with synthetic canvas fabric and synthetic belt fabric, this reinforcement layer performs better in fatigue-resistance and pressure-holding.

③ Inner rubber layer
The inner rubber layer is designed to seal the air inside the fender.
